Dear Valued Partner

We are facing a truly unprecedented situation around the world. The global coronavirus pandemic is highly affecting our families, our businesses, our communities, and our way of life. For the moment we would like to inform you on how we are approaching the situation at Putzmeister in Aichtal.

First and foremost, our hearts go out to anyone who has been impacted by the virus, either directly or indirectly. Our thoughts are especially with those who are sick, to whom we extend our heartfelt wishes for a full recovery.

At Putzmeister, we are focused on the health and safety of our employees, their families and those of our customers and partners. We have implemented a set of Health and Safety measures for all Putzmeister employees to protect them while also doing our part in stopping the further spread of the virus.

Whenever possible we implemented home office solutions and our frontline staff have been advised to exercise precautions such as avoiding public transportation and using masks when interacting with customers.

Like many of you, we have been following this situation very closely and have been asked numerous questions which we try to answer in the following paragraphs.

Temporary shutdown of the production in Aichtal:
In order to further protect the well-being of our team members and to follow the recommendation of the German Government, we have decided today to shut down production from March 23rd to April 13th, 2020.


For this time period we will have a minimum staff on site to handle emergency support and other necessary work to serve you to the extend possible, like technical service support and parts supply.

Receiving Situation Supplied Parts:

  • All goods in transit, we can still receive at our facility until 27.03.2020 at the Plants Aichtal.
  • The facility in Gründau will close completely by Monday, 23.03.2020.

For all other open orders, we kindly ask you to temporarily hold these deliveries and don’t release for shipment until you receive further instruction from Putzmeister. You may receive a change order request with updated delivery dates.

We are aware of the uncertainty in the market and that many of your questions are still unanswered, but please understand that we currently cannot answer all of your questions, as we reassess the situation every day.
