Putzmeister India MD recently spoke about the company’s CSR Initiatives in Goa

Putzmeister Concrete Machines Pvt. Ltd. Managing Director, Mr. Kanjanabha Bhattacharyya in a recent interview spoke at length about the company's contributions to Goa's skilling ecosystem. He discussed the establishment of a welding lab at the Industrial Training Institute (ITI) in Panaji, emphasizing the importance of this initiative for the local community and the Indian construction industry.

Putzmeister's commitment to skill development is evident in its collaboration with the Directorate of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Goa (DSDE) to upgrade the welding course at ITI Panaji. The advanced welding lab not only enhances vocational training but also exposes students to the latest technology, making them job-ready for industry needs. Mr. Bhattacharyya mentioned plans to extend this support to ITI Bicholim and ITI Vasco in Goa if the pilot project succeeds.

He highlighted the shortage of trained welders in Goa and the company's positive experience with ITI graduates, emphasizing their professionalism and their importance in Putzmeister's skilled workforce. With its India headquarters in Goa, Putzmeister employs more than 1,000 individuals directly and indirectly, supporting infrastructure development projects nationwide. Mr. Bhattacharyya also praised Goa's business environment, noting its supportive government policies and disciplined workforce.

In addition to its skilling initiatives, Putzmeister is actively involved in youth-focused programs like the recent Hackathon at the Government College of Arts, Science, and Commerce in Sanquelim, providing students with real-world challenges to apply their skills.
