Visit by the Filderstadt Youth Fire Brigade to Putzmeister on 14 May 2025

Last Wednesday, 14 May 2025, we welcomed the Filderstadt Youth Fire Brigade to Putzmeister. At 6 p.m., around 30 young firefighters arrived and took part in three exciting stations during their visit.

The stations at a glance:

Station 1: E-mixer Switching on and securing an E-mixer

Station 2: Firefighting with an M 47-5 concrete pump.

The water was fed directly into the concrete pump's delivery pipes via two B-hoses from the fire engine. There is a special adapter for this purpose, which allows water to be fed in at the rear end of the riser pipe. A water jet pipe was attached to the end of the mast, enabling the firefighting operation to be carried out optimally.

By 8 p.m., all stations had been successfully completed and we moved on to the more relaxed part of the evening. Our trainees barbecued for the guests and at 9:15 p.m., the firefighters set off for home with their blue lights flashing.

The meeting was a great success and was very well received by the young participants. We look forward to further interesting encounters and exchanges with the Filderstadt Youth Fire Brigade.
