Joint exercise by the Schönaich Fire Brigade
02-Nov-2026
The Schönaich Fire Brigade recently carried out a challenging road traffic accident scenario as part of a training exercise: two cars and an electric truck mixer were involved in a simulated accident. One car had crashed into the rear of the truck mixer, whilst another vehicle had collided with the side of the truck mixer.
The task was to rescue several injured people from the vehicles and then provide them with medical care in collaboration with the Schönaich branch of the German Red Cross. This required teamwork, good communication and a coordinated approach.
Exercises of this kind are particularly important for ensuring the best possible preparation for complex and unusual emergency situations. Road traffic accidents involving fully electric trucks or vehicles such as truck mixer pose particular challenges for the fire service. This makes it all the more valuable to be able to use such a vehicle as a realistic training aid.
Putzmeister supports exercises of this kind so that fire services and the Red Cross can familiarise themselves with the specific characteristics of fully electric vehicles during such exercises, thereby ensuring the safety of us all.
