Putzmeister Operations & Management Contributes to World Record Concrete Pour at Polavaram Dam
Contributing to Navayuga Engineering Company Limited (NECL) GUINNESS WORLD RECORD® for Largest Continuous Concrete Pour and most concrete continuously poured in 24 hours at the Polavaram Dam is a great way to kick of 2019.
32,315 m3 of concrete was poured in the record breaking feat.
A Putzmeister Operations & Management team of 50 contributed to the effort with the help of 4 Putzmeister Belt conveyors Telebelt – TBS 130, TB 200 and TBS 600, 1 Putzmeister Truck-mounted Concrete Pump – BSF 42-5, 20 Agitors and 4 Surgecretes.
All Putzmeister equipment was available for 100% of the period. The TB 200 poured continuously through the 24 hours – a true testament to the equipment and the team.
The Putzmeister team has been working on the Polavaram Dam project since work on the foundation for the spillway started towards the end 2016. Till date the Operations & Management team has transported and placed 1.5 million m3 of concrete.
This is not the first time Putzmeister has helped its clients achieve the world record for continuous concrete pour. We not only help set records, we also help break records achieved through our efforts.
