Rotary distributor impresses
in the production of precast parts W+S Monnerjahn GmbH
W+S Monnerjahn GmbH from Halsenbach, Germany, specialises in reinforced concrete and prestressed concrete prefabricated parts. The company stands for customised, individual solutions: be it in the area of industrial and commercial buildings, precast concrete construction, the manufacture of modular railway platform systems or special custom-made products.
Concreting of Pi ceilings with rotary distributor RV 22-2
Initial situation
Concrete placement in the formwork was previously realised using indoor crane systems and crane buckets in parallel to the manufacture of the reinforcement material in the same hall. The arising bottleneck in the use of the hall crane led to additional costs from waiting and idle times during concreting work and the manufacture of the reinforcement material.

Putzmeister solution
Instead of buckets and crane, a stationary concrete pump with hydraulic rotary distributors and stationary delivery line assumes the transportation of concrete and concrete placement. The ready-mixed concrete from the truck mixers is poured directly into the pump hopper. The concrete pump is located
outside the hall and is easy to approach for the truck mixers. Via a delivery line the concrete is pumped into the hall on a rotary distributor RV 22-2 (22 m reach) and distributed via a connecting line to a second rotary distributor RV 16-2 (16 m reach) into formwork approx. 70 m long.

During cleaning the concrete from the line is for the most part still poured into the formwork, the remaining concrete residue and cleaning water are absorbed by a cleaning line outside the hall. The approx. 1000 m crane route per day is no longer required.

- Why Putzmeister
Individual concrete pump solution
tailored to the customer, taking into account the production processes and local conditions in the hall, offers greater productivity and resolves bottlenecks with the crane assignment. - Advantages
The previous concrete placement with crane buckets and indoor crane required 3-4 hours.
There were also waiting times during concreting and the manufacture of the reinforcement
material as both required the indoor crane. With the pump technology only 1.5 hours are
required for the same volume (+ 5 minutes for start of pumping and 20 minutes for cleaning).
■ Reduction of the time required by approx. 50%
■ Less staff, as production is assured even in the case of staff shortage or skills shortage
