How long does the training or DH study programme last?

That depends on the specific training programme. Commercial training lasts between 2 1/2 and 3 years. Technical training takes between 3 and 3½ years and the DH degree programme takes 3 years (equivalent to 6 semesters). Is it possible to shorten the programme?

 

Training as a warehouse logistics specialist (m/f/d):

  • no reduction possible due to the 2-year training period

Training as a warehouse clerk (m/f/d):

  • reductions are possible in the case of very good performance
  • this must be agreed between the training company and the vocational school
  • the training company and the trainee must then submit a joint application to the Chamber of Industry and Commerce

Training as a vehicle painter (m/f/d):

  • Shortening of the training period is possible in the case of very good performance.
  • The training company and vocational school must agree on this.
  • The training company and trainee must then submit a joint application to the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK).

Training as an IT specialist (m/f/d) specialising in application development and system integration:

  • Shortening of the training period is possible in the case of very good performance.
  • To do so, the training company and vocational school must agree.
  • The training company and trainee must then jointly submit an application to the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK).

Training as an industrial clerk (m/f/d):

  • The training period has already been shortened from 3 years to 2 1/2 years, so no further shortening is possible.

Training as an industrial mechanic (m/f/d):

  • Shortening of the training period is possible in the case of very good performance.
  • To do so, the training company and the vocational school must agree.
  • The training company and the trainee must then jointly submit an application to the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK).

Training as an agricultural and construction machinery mechatronics technician (m/f/d):

  • Shortening of the training period is possible in the case of very good performance.
  • To do so, the training company and the vocational school must agree.
  • The training company and the trainee must then jointly submit an application to the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK).

Training as a mechatronics engineer (m/f/d) with high-voltage technology qualification:

  • No shortening possible due to additional high-voltage technology qualification.

Dual study programmes:

  • No reduction possible

What are the chances of being taken on?

We are a company bound by collective agreements and provide training based on demand. Therefore, we would like to hire you after you have completed your training/studies, provided that you demonstrate the appropriate commitment, motivation and personal suitability during your training.

 

When should I apply and by when at the latest?

Our selection process takes place over a year before the start of training or studies, usually from June onwards.

 

What documents should the application contain?

A detailed cover letter, CV, your last two school reports and other evidence of your achievements.

 

How does the selection process work?

We usually begin reviewing applications in June (over a year before the start of training or studies). This may be followed by an invitation to a test and/or interview.

How long does a student internship last?

Usually one week.

 

What documents should the application contain?

A detailed cover letter stating your desired job profile and time period, your CV and a current reference.

 

How does the student internship work?

 

Commercial apprenticeships:

  • Warehouse logistics specialist (m/f/d): Logistics
  • IT specialist (m/f/d): IT
  • Industrial clerk (m/f/d): individual schedule; if possible, you will experience a different commercial department every day, such as purchasing, scheduling, sales, marketing and shipping.

Technical apprenticeships:

  • Warehouse clerk (m/f/d): logistics
  • Vehicle painter (m/f/d): paint shop / paint preparation
  • Industrial mechanic (m/f/d) and mechatronics engineer (m/f/d): own training workshop and rotation through the assembly areas
  • Agricultural and construction machinery mechatronics engineer (m/f/d): service workshop at our Essen or Gera branch

Degree programmes:

  • Individual rotation plan, technical and/or commercial departments of our company
  • Depending on your degree programme, you will gain an insight into departments such as: Design and development departments, product management, purchasing, marketing, sales, IT, shipping and logistics, as well as finance and controlling
