Choosing electric commercial vehicles is not only an environmental decision, it can also provide economic benefits. In Germany, eligible road-registered electric vehicles can generate annual payments through the GHG quota scheme, helping to reduce total cost of ownership.
What is the GHG quota?
The greenhouse gas (GHG) quota is based on certified CO₂ savings achieved by road-registered electric vehicles. Since fuel suppliers in Germany are legally required to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions of the fuels they sell, these savings can be credited and financially compensated.
Eligible vehicles include:
- eTrucks
- electric mixer trucks
- electric concrete pump trucks
